A multi-wipe, multi-surface field composite methamphetamine test is commonly used for initial screening across large areas or multiple surfaces within a building (such as walls, countertops, and HVAC vents), or multiple locations within a vehicle. This method allows for a rapid assessment to determine potential methamphetamine contamination.

Product Description:

Multi-Wipe, Multi-Area Field Composite Meth Test.

Our Meth (P) TESTING – AfterPay Available – Multi-Wipe Composite Methamphetamine (P) Test is a cost-effective screening tool designed to detect the presence or absence of meth residues across several areas of a property. This method involves collecting samples from multiple surfaces or rooms using individual wipes, which are then combined into a single composite sample sent to the lab for analysis.

Key Benefits:

✅ Cost-Effective:
Fewer lab tests are needed compared to testing each area individually, making this a budget-friendly option for property-wide screening.

✅ Time-Saving:
Multiple locations are covered in one sampling session, delivering quick initial results.

✅ Wide Coverage:
This method gives a broad overview of contamination across several locations, helping to identify whether meth is present without testing every room upfront.

Important: Composite Testing is an Indication Only

This test is designed to give a Yes/No answer, it tells you whether methamphetamine is present above detection limits, but not how much is in each specific location.

Because all wipes are combined into a single vial, meth residues from multiple areas are accumulated into one result. For example:

If five areas each have 0.5mg of meth, a composite test would return a result of 2.5mg. This exceeds the NZ remediation trigger level of 1.5mg, but doesn’t mean any one area individually exceeded the threshold.

This is why composite tests must not be used to trigger remediation, as they can falsely elevate the result. They are a screening tool only, ideal for landlords, buyers, or property managers wanting to assess whether further investigation is necessary.

What to Do if the Result is Positive:

If the composite sample returns a positive result, the next step is to carry out discreet individual testing of each area previously sampled. These individual tests provide accurate, location-specific data suitable for remediation planning or insurance reports.

Each composite test includes lab analysis and a formal report, and AfterPay is available for flexible payment. Service areas include –  Oamaru, Timeru, Dunedin.
